A foolproof way to ensure you never achieve your goals!

In early 2009 a weight loss pill called “Alli” became available to purchase over the counter at pharmacies without prescription in the UK.


What is Alli?

The manufacturers GlaxoSmithKline inform that the pill works by blocking the absorption of excess fat by the body. Users take one pill with each meal to help stop the fat they are eating being turned into body fat.


What are the benefits?

The manufactures claim that you can lose up to 50% more fat than just dieting alone. To achieve this, users must take 1 pill with every meal and stick to a strict low fat diet or face the consequences (see downsides).


What are the downsides?
While on the treatment the users are warned to not eat more than 15 grams of fat in any one meal. If you exceed 15 grams of fat in any one sitting, then you stand threat of having losing control over your bowls. This “side effect” can strike at any time and without warning. Alli is expensive, it costs between £1-2 per day depending where you purchase it.


Am I suitable for Alli?
Alli is being aimed at people with a BMI of over 28 and who are classed as obese. Users also have to commit to a low fat, calorie controlled diet and to also start exercising 2 weeks before starting the course.      
 

7 reasons why I don’t approve of using Alli for weight loss;


1)
Alli is not natural! Blocking the absorption of fat by the body is simply not working with nature and introduces unneeded chemicals into your system.

2) It can cause you to soil yourself without warning.

3) Alli does not address the reason why you are overeating in the first place.

4) Alli only works if you follow a low fat calorie controlled diet. This in itself would produce results without the need for foreign chemicals.

5) Alli users do not take long term weight loss into consideration. Instead it is seen as the miracle pill that helps you to lose weight quickly. Long term weight loss requires lift style changes, not just taking pills.

6) It is expensive, between £1-2 per day depending on your supplier
7) Once you stop taking the pill and go back to your normal diet, you are very likely to put all the weight back on again, plus a little extra. Taking pills and dieting is a vicious cycle that over time causes you to gain weight and lose your money.


So if diet pills are not the answer, what is?

If you want to achieve long term weight loss then you need to work with your body and not fill it with chemicals. You need to make lots of little changes to your life style such as cutting out refined carbohydrates and sugars, drink more water and address the reasons why you overeat in the first place.
